Incorporating a motor and sensor in the drive unit, this motorized micromanipulator enables more accurate positioning of microelectrodes.
This remotely-operated micromanipulator uses a closed-loop control system to feed back the positional information of the drive unit to the control unit, enabling the user to derive the precise coordinates.

Coordinate CalculationThis function enables the user to set an arbitrary position as a reference point and the display is capable of showing the distance traveled from the reference point set. Position measurement system saves you the inconvenience of calculating the distance traveled, during and after each experiment. |

A Prototype of Pneumatic Injector
No Oil Refill Required. Everything Pneumatic!
Easy-to-use Pneumatic Injector is now under development.
Superior operability of an oil hydraulic injector can be fully achieved by this new pneumatic control system.
- A Change from Hydraulic Control to Pneumatic
- For example, catching and releasing of a micro-object in liquid by charge and discharge of air pressure can be controlled much easily, compared to using an oil-hydraulic-injector model.
- Oil and Maintenance Free
- There is no need to fill oil into this injector. Install the capillary, and it is ready to use. The air pressure can be controlled with the same reaction just like using an oil hydraulic injector.
- Smooth Pneumatic Control
- This pneumatic injector was designed to have smooth control. It is designed to be the same quality that Narishige is known for. You will be surprised when you know how smooth the pneumatic control is.
Three Simple Steps!
It usually takes many steps to set a capillary on the microscope, however this new injector requires only three steps.
STEP 1Install your capillary * Unlike an oil hydraulic injector, you don't need to adjust the oil level or check for air bubbles. |

STEP 2Bring your capillary into the field of view of the microscope |

STEP 3Move your capillary lower until it dips into the liquid you use for experiment. |
* Allow the capillary to soak up an adequate amount of liquid. |
You're all set!After soaking up liquid, now it is ready to control! |

With this prototype, we made a further improvement to SR-5R, the auxiliary ear bar and the nose fixing metal have become much easier to use.

Auxiliary ear bar has improved by changing the shape to fit more comfortably in the plam of your hand, compared to the previous one. Plus the part of the spring-loaded dovetail structure is protected by a cover plate; it offers a good user-friendliness. |

| Improvements on Nose Fixing Metal | |

As usual, when the knob is rotated, the nose fixing metal adjusts the angle in the vertical direction, which makes it possible to fix the animal's upper jaw. |

Different from the previous one, this prototype has a small knob on the side. Loosening the knob to pull out the whole part of the nose fixing metal in an upward direction provides sufficient space that makes it easier to hook the animal's teeth. |

The nose fixing metal is offerd in two types of shape; old & new. You can choose whichever fits better to the animal, and either one you choose, they are compatible with each other. |
